Where to find your vacuum's bag reference
Before ordering a replacement bag, it is worth spending two minutes checking your machine directly. Most vacuums carry the information you need in one of three places, and checking the machine is more reliable than guessing from the vacuum's general model name printed on the box.
The three places to check

Step by step
- Unplug the vacuum before opening any compartment.
- Open the dust compartment door and check the inside surface for a printed or stickered bag type.
- If a bag is currently fitted, lift it out and read the collar. This is usually the fastest and most reliable method.
- If there is no bag fitted or the collar is unreadable, turn the machine over or check its rear panel for a rating label with the full model number.
- Search that model number, or your brand name, using the tool on our homepage.
If the machine is second hand or the labels are missing
Older or heavily used machines sometimes have a worn or missing rating label. In that case, the safest option is to measure the old bag's collar directly rather than guess from the vacuum's general appearance, since several models within the same brand can look near identical while taking different bags.
