Siemens vacuum bags
Siemens vacuum cleaners are built on the same platform as Bosch's cylinder range and take the identical Type G bag. If you own a Siemens VSZ or Q-series machine, everything on this site's Bosch Type G page applies to you as well.
How to identify your Siemens model
Siemens prints the model on a plate on the underside of the machine, usually starting with VS or VSZ followed by digits, and repeats the bag type on a sticker inside the dust compartment lid. That sticker is the fastest identifier on the machine.
Because the Siemens cylinder range is built on the same platform as the Bosch one, the bag standard is shared. A Siemens Q-series or VSZ that calls for Type G takes the same bag as its Bosch equivalent, sold under either brand name.

Where Siemens owners go wrong
- Searching only under the Siemens part number and paying more for it. The equivalent Bosch-branded pack is the same bag and often sits next to it at a different price.
- Assuming every Siemens cylinder is bagged. Recent ranges include bagless models with a clear bin and no bag reference at all.
- Ordering against the machine's marketing name instead of the type letter inside the lid.
When to change the bag
The indicator window on the body reads airflow rather than weight, so a bag loaded with fine dust will show full while still feeling light. Trust the indicator over the feel of the bag, and check the hose if it reads full again straight after a change.

Is the Siemens bag different from the Bosch one?
Not where both are the same type. The part numbers differ by brand but the collar and the fit are identical.
Where is the type letter printed?
On a sticker inside the dust compartment lid on most models, and on the collar of the bag already fitted.
Can I run the machine for one session without a bag?
No. The bag is the first stage of filtration and running without it loads the motor filter with everything the bag would have held.
